Hi, I'm Coenraad Roelof van Beek - and I'm excited to be your Biology tutor. I'm a molecular plant biologist and dedicated STEM educator with a focus on genetics, biotechnology, and crop science. I hold two MSc degrees - one in Plant Biotechnology and the other in Plant & Soil Science - and bring a blend of technical expertise and a deep passion for teaching. I've worked as a teaching assistant in molecular biology and genetics at Texas Tech University, where I supported students in mastering complex scientific concepts, facilitated hands-on lab techniques, and helped develop course syllabi. I aim to make challenging content accessible and engaging, no matter your learning style. Beyond the classroom, my research has focused on gene expression, plant stress tolerance, and transgene integration - areas where I continue to bridge cutting-edge science with practical learning.
