Teaching English was never just about grammar or vocabulary. It was about helping students find their voice and believe in their ability to express themselves.
As someone who started teaching in a modest setting, I’ve seen how language can either empower or intimidate students. Many of them knew the rules, but froze when it came time to speak. This challenge led me to explore more creative, student-centered methods—like using self-directed speaking projects, digital portfolios, and real-life tasks.
Teaching has taught me that confidence is built, not assumed. And as an educator, my role is not just to explain, but to encourage.
