Continuing the Conversation: More Misconceptions About New To Education

Transparency has always been important to us, and we believe it is better to address questions directly than allow misunderstandings to shape perceptions of our platform. In this latest article, we want to continue that conversation by discussing several additional misconceptions related to our blogging efforts, subscriptions, business partnerships, face-to-face services in Japan, and our long-term vision.

As always, our goal is not simply to respond to criticism. Our goal is to help our community better understand what New To Education is trying to build and why we make the decisions that we do.

Misconception #1: You're Only Publishing Blogs to Create Controversy and Get Views

This is one of the most common assumptions we encounter.

The reality is much simpler.

Our primary goal is to keep our users informed about developments in education, business, technology, travel, entrepreneurship, and other topics that may impact our community. While some articles may discuss difficult or controversial subjects, our intention is not to create outrage, division, or controversy simply to generate traffic.

Most of our articles are written from a neutral and informational perspective. Opinion pieces are clearly identified as opinion content, and even then, we maintain standards regarding professionalism, accuracy, and respect for differing viewpoints.

We want our platform to be a place where people can learn, explore ideas, and stay informed about topics that matter.

Misconception #2: You're Making Fun of Misfortunes in America or Other Western Countries

This is false.

When major events occur in the United States, Asia, Europe, Africa, or elsewhere, we may choose to report on them if they are relevant to our audience. Reporting on an event does not mean we support it, celebrate it, or criticize those involved.

Our goal is awareness, not judgment.

Our community is international, and we believe it is important to share information from multiple regions of the world. We are interested in helping our users understand what is happening, not in taking sides or mocking the challenges faced by any country or community.

Misconception #3: Your Articles Are Politically Biased

We occasionally receive comments suggesting that some of our content appears political.

The reality is that New To Education does not maintain a political position as a company.

Our user base spans multiple countries and cultures, with many of our users coming from Asia and other international regions. We have no interest in promoting a political ideology or creating a platform that favors one group over another.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and want everyone to feel comfortable using our platform.

Before publication, articles are reviewed for authenticity, accuracy, and compliance with our standards. While we may discuss public policy, education reform, business developments, or current events, our goal is to inform rather than persuade.

All blogs and articles submitted to our platform are reviewed before publication. We encourage tutors and contributors from around the world to share their expertise, experiences, and perspectives. The goal is to create a platform that reflects a variety of voices, not a single viewpoint.

Misconception #4: You're Only Trying to Increase Profits Through Subscriptions

This is another misconception we hear from time to time.

Our subscription services were designed to provide value to users, not simply to generate revenue.

In many cases, subscriptions significantly reduce the cost of services. Some professionals and tutors on our platform charge premium rates based on their qualifications, experience, and expertise. In some cases, individual lessons can cost $100 USD or more. Subscription plans allow users to access services at a substantially reduced rate while also providing consistency and convenience.

The goal is to make educational and professional services more accessible while also supporting the individuals who provide them.

We view subscriptions as a way to create affordability and opportunity rather than simply increasing profits.

Misconception #5: You're Trying to Make Money Off Businesses

We are strongly supportive of entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and businesses.

Many of the systems we are building are designed to help organizations fill gaps that may be difficult to address independently. Whether through increased visibility, networking opportunities, educational services, future service integrations, or business partnerships, our goal is to create opportunities rather than take them away.

We believe businesses play a critical role in supporting local communities, and we actively seek ways to help them succeed.

As New To Education expands beyond traditional tutoring, we hope to provide even more ways for businesses and organizations to connect with potential customers, learners, and communities.

Misconception #6: You're Trying to Replace Other Businesses

This is also false.

We believe New To Education can help create opportunities for other businesses rather than compete directly against them.

For example, if a tutor and student meet for a face-to-face lesson at a local coffee shop, both individuals may purchase drinks or food while they are there. The student benefits from the lesson, the tutor earns income, and the local business gains customers.

We view this as a positive outcome for everyone involved.

As we expand face-to-face services and other offerings, we hope to partner with more businesses and organizations, including those located in rural or underserved communities.

Our vision is not to replace existing businesses. It is to create additional opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and growth.

Misconception #7: Anyone Can Come to Japan and Offer Face-to-Face Classes Through New To Education

This is false.

As we continue developing and expanding face-to-face services in Japan, we want to make it clear that not everyone will automatically qualify to provide in-person services through our platform.

Face-to-face services involve additional responsibilities, legal considerations, and safety requirements that do not exist in the same way with online services. Because of this, we maintain strict criteria regarding who may participate.

One of the most important requirements is that the individual must be a legal resident of Japan. We also expect individuals to comply with all applicable local laws, regulations, and platform requirements.

Depending on the service being offered, additional verification measures may be required, including identity verification, profile review, qualifications review, and adherence to New To Education's policies and standards.

Our goal is not simply to make face-to-face services available. Our goal is to ensure they are provided safely, professionally, and responsibly for everyone involved.

As the program grows, we may introduce additional safeguards and requirements to further protect students, tutors, businesses, organizations, and community partners.

We are excited about expanding opportunities for in-person learning and services in Japan, but we believe growth should be accompanied by strong standards and accountability.

Safety and Community Standards

As our platform grows, maintaining a safe environment remains a priority.

Individuals who violate our policies, harass others, engage in inappropriate conduct, create safety concerns, or negatively impact other users may be permanently removed from the platform.

We are also exploring additional reporting and moderation systems that will allow businesses, tutors, students, and other users to report concerns directly. These tools will help us respond more quickly and maintain a positive experience for everyone.

As face-to-face services expand, businesses and community partners may also be provided with tools to report misconduct or safety concerns. Protecting our users, partners, and communities will always take priority over growth.

This is why we reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban individuals who fail to follow our standards, create safety concerns, or negatively impact the experience of others on the platform.

Looking Ahead: Building Responsibly

New To Education started as an educational platform, but our long-term vision has always been broader than tutoring alone.

We want to create a space where students, educators, creators, businesses, organizations, and communities can connect, learn, grow, and support one another.

As we continue to develop new services, expand face-to-face opportunities, improve our technology, and build new partnerships, we remain committed to growing responsibly. We believe that growth should be accompanied by accountability, transparency, and a commitment to serving our users.

We know we will not always get everything right, and we welcome constructive feedback. However, many of the misconceptions surrounding New To Education stem from misunderstandings about our goals and intentions.

At the end of the day, our mission remains simple: create opportunities, support learning, encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen communities, and help people connect with the resources they need to succeed.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to building a platform that serves people from all backgrounds, professions, and communities. We are excited about the future and grateful to everyone who continues to support, question, challenge, and help improve what we are building together.
